Has anyone had any pants made up in either fed blue cotton or cotton white chinos or duck white? Curious how the color looks on the former and wondering about see through factor on the latter two (and the need to get lining)

A week or two ago, my girlfriend was doing laundry and accidentally threw in my Blue Dress Stripes Seersucker, thinking it was her blue pinstripe pajamas (they do look exactly alike). They got shrunk and she was trying to buy me a new one. I told her not to worry about it.

Then a few days ago, I told her I was thinking about reordering it because all you bas***ds keep posting pictures of it. She told me, "I didn't like it that much. Get something new."

But apparently it was because she told Theresa about her shrinking it and ordered a new one, following the original measurements I gave.

    My girlfriend is awesome.

Edit: For clarification.. It was put in the dryer.

I was going to order the seersucker stripes, but if it can't be washed without terminal shrinkage, I guess I'll pass.

I'm guessing it probably got thrown in the dryer as well which caused the issues

It was dried. I don't believe the seersucker would have reached the level of fame it's at if it couldn't go in a washer.

Get it, Butch. You'll dig it.

He's probably referring to the hot dryer. No way does Luxire put out an item that will create substantial shrinkage through machine washing.

I just emailed Luxire about a similar issue. The instructions on the website for this fabric says to wash in cold water and tumble dry. I washed a new Luxire shirt with the same fabric care instructions in warm water and let it tumble dry on low. The shirt shrunk an inch in the chest, sleeves, and armpit. When I say an inch for the chest and armpit, it's 2 inches inches in circumference. It shrunk 0.5 inches in the collar and cuff. To say the least, its not wearable anymore. They say that they prewash all of their fabrics so there is little to no shrinkage here, but this has me questioning that now. It's hard to believe that all that shrinkage was due to warm water, but I could be wrong. The particular fabric for my shirt is out of stock so they can't check to see if they were at fault or not. Oh, well. I'll eat the 60 bucks. After all this, I'd say never dry any Luxire shirts. Always hang dry. Has anyone else had shrinkage due to drying?

I usually hang to dry, but I can't have a shirt that can't be dried.

I wash all my Luxire shirts in warm and tumble dry with no noticeable shrinkage.

Note: My shirt measurements do not result in a skin-tight fit to begin with, so there is some wiggle room.

It's still crazy to me that some people don't dry all of their cotton clothing; it's just so easy.
