    This Lovat tweed would make a great trouser too. It's £52 per meter, so would be about £80 for trousers.

    If Cotton-linen works, this looks close.

    This cotton looks nice too:

    You should order with a "Heavy Wash" for the slight fade look.

    Thanks for the response Luxire, the cotton twill looks like a really close match. Its called a brown though, in real life its definitely dark brown right?

    Real life is more like the image, our naming can sometimes be weird (so can be our images sometimes :) )

    In Scotland maybe, but I don't think most people in the UK would even know it was an issue.

    Yeah, I'm living in Scotland atm, and it's definitely seen as in poor taste here, especially if you're English. I'm pretty sure that in some circles in the rest of the UK it's seen as in poor taste as well. Anyway, I wouldn't wear someone's family colours, regardless of whether it would be an issue or not. It feels the same as using someone else's coat of arms. I'm not saying others should mind these customs, but it's always nice to know where something comes from.

    @luxire
    Hi, I have two questions about this: (1) for a new order, if we request adjustments to an existing order/pattern, is an entirely new pattern then made with the requested adjustments? Also, (2) if a different collar is requested using an existing pattern, I assume that new pattern does not have to be made since a different collar is simply attached to the body made from the pattern--is that correct?

    Thanks!!

    Win! So much win.

    Any time we go out, my girlfriend asks, "Let me guess. Seersucker?"

    "Yes.. Maybe."

    "I like it."

    This was done off of a pattern that Luxire made together. It took one pair of terrible pants (my measurements) with a ton of pinning (my part, suggestions from Luxire as well) and the next pair was near perfect. It feels snug across the front, but I'm not sure if they're supposed to be somewhat snug or not. There's zero pocket gap, which is the best part. And when I stand right (not taking a picture of myself from the side), there's no folds in the rear or front. Great stuff.

    Yep, judging from the praise the blue dress stripes seersucker gets around here, I'm expecting a winner! Arriving this Friday, on which the weather report forecasts blue skies and 22 degrees celsius. Summer's here, gotta be properly dressed!
