Would be interested in the quilted jacket as well.
To gather some more information/ideas, two other jackets that have been mentioned in the forums before and which look equally as lovely als the Boggi are the RL Kempton and the Wool Coat by Enrico Mandelli

Generally speaking I have a strong preference for matt navy outer, do others agree?

Both navy chambray and pink linen/cotton look great!

So would it be possible to do a more blazer style shirt jacket? Ie. with lapels, surgeon's cuffs, possibly a couple of internal pockets? I have an Arny's jacket like that, only lined in the sleeves. Great for summer.

Yep... that is it. I think that in the quilted jacket thread there were a fair number of people interested. I actually owned a too small version of the jacket for a while and would love to see some upgrades in terms of details and materials since the original was actually not that well made.

I will share in the quilted jacket thread because I think you would get significant interest.

It would be great to have a place to get a quilted sport coat made instead of the ready made ones. They ready made tend to have sleeves that are too long. I would also like patch pockets like on a newer Boggibi saw on the net. As long as it is not too expensive I would be in for one.

akatsuki, would you be willing to share the details of the Boggi you thought weren't ideal?

Ashish, are you sure you will be able to source good quality sheeting fabrics, quality zippers, brass push buttons as well as down/feathers for the lining?
This is not exactly shirtmaking.

I have a coat similar to the Boggi construction that I could send in to them if that helps the process. Mine is made like the RL one is constructed.

Am curious what Ashish has to say, but I think a piece to reverse engineer from would be a great help.

Just received my Sky Blue Micro Herringbone and Luxurious White from Luxire. Sadly, there are multiple problems and am hopefully that Luxire will correct this. And I haven't even tried them on yet...[IMG] is anyone else having these issues?? i'm getting worried that the deal may be too good to be true and i'll have to go back to Proper Cloth.

1. The collars on both shirts are stained with a blue dot -- see attached photo.
2. The white collar on the shirt shirt is a different color white than the rest of the shirt. This makes the shirt unwearable.
3.
The monogram looks awful -- see attached photo.
4. I ordered on Cyber Monday and asked for the collar stay package... they sent a pink gingham pocket square.

I know the guy I sold it to wanted to sell it on, so I will contact him and see if it is still available, and, if there is enough interest to split costs, we can buy it back and send it in as a template.

The button holes were pretty worn and not reinforced sufficiently. The stitching was crappy, even for a machine. The nylon was fairly mediocre quality stuff. The buttons in the pockets would have been better as flap magnets (and while you are at it, might as well put a couple of strong ones in the collar a la Acronym for headphones). The remainder of the buttons were cheap as well.

Frankly, I would love to see it in far more technical fabrics - something that was actually waterproof, and insulated with aerogel fabric rather than down to keep it lightweight. Also a lightweight zip-out hood in the collar would be a nice plus.

I would also be interested in a jacket similar to the Boggi so popular here. I'm also curious at the confidence in making a product so different than a shirt, though. Not doubting, just curious. Seems like a large step.

Fabrics like the Mandelli are very, very expensive. Storm System wool/cashmere would be my ideal fabric choice, but I'm pretty sure it's hard to come by. Epaulet did one recently made from Valtherm "White Bear" Technical Wool that looked pretty cool (the material, not the design).

Interested in hearing more about the quilted jacket... The storm system fabric would be great, if possible.
