I can sympathize with this situation, there can be issues or limitations with communicating pattern details when it comes to talking angles and such, beyond the basic measurements--many of us run into this with jacket shoulders for example.

Instead of chasing that approach, have you exhausted efforts to talk in terms of fit? High-quality comparison pictures showing identical poses in the good pants vs. the problem ones that visibly show where it is pulling or sagging, etc.? If the issue is clearly evident in photos and backed up by clear description, they should be able to make the adjustments to move the pattern in the right direction, despite measurement discrepancies.

Dear colleagues, Im looking for a suitable linen / linen-cotton fabric for a spring/summer polo-shirt, which is not too translucent and costs below 90$. Are there any fabrics you can recommend?

I have a long sleeve made up in this and really like it. Slightly over your $90 limit though

    Hello

I just looked.....I like the dress shirt collar and overall look. I really want a casual pique dress shirt style

Let me ask........why would one want the linen mix in a pique vs all cotton?

And does the linen change the texture at all?...softer?.. or more scratchy, less smooth?

I think you'd want to add some linen as it is more breathable.

It does affect the texture, the fabric becomes more slubby. I have a few linen/cotton pants from Brooks Brothers as well as a sportshirt made out of it.

I think @emptym recently posted a pique dress shirt he uses for travel.

I am going to get a linen-cotton polo made as soon as I have the time to sit down and put down specs.

Yes, definitely adds more breathibility with the linen and more slubbiness in feel.
