Small update - long overdue: Modified shirt order screen, a little more options, a little less confusion.

^ That's going to be really helpful - I think I may have ended up with a different collar than I wanted because I had to choose one of the existing options (I wanted the collar copied from a previous shirt, but wasn't specific enough about it - totally my fault).

Does anyone here have a pair of moleskin trousers? What is the material like? Can you describe it?

Moleskin's thick and soft, like corduroy w/o the wales or velvet w/o the smoothness and sheen.

Btw, someone asked earlier about the ideal pants (classic and versatile) to wear w/ a blue blazer. I would say light to mid gray wool pants or khaki cotton twill.

I think of moleskin as a sort of cloth suede.

Thanks. Actually that was me who asked about the blue blazer and trouser combo.

How do the shirts compare to Black Lapel, Brooks Brothers and other MTM retailers?

Construction is way better. Along with communication and customer service. I really, really like the chambrays and one 140/2 poplin I ordered (months ago), but one or two of the rest are slightly disappointing.

I wouldn't even bother trying any other online MTM anymore. Luxire was the first, and I see no need to try anyone else. The only other shirtmaker I can see myself using for a long while is my tailor.

I'll definitely look into it. A couple questions since I've never gone through this process before...

    - If my jacket length (to the bottom of my butt) is 30", about how much shorter should I order my shirt?
    - When measuring my chest, should I put the tape right under my armpits?
    - If I'm looking for a clean, crisp white shirt to start with, what type of fabric would be appropriate?

Any help is appreciated. Thanks, guys.

I think for measurements, you'll have better luck measuring a shirt that fits you well. their website has guides for where you should take each measurement from.

The only problem with that is that most of my shirts don't fit too well. One of the reasons I'm looking into this is to have shirts that do. I'll try to find different shirts that fit me better in certain areas and take measurements of those areas. Thanks.

Wore the Lustrous Fine White today and I can say it wrinkles like crazy! Also unlined and unfused cuffs don't look good on it as fabric is very light and 'curls' up easy. Fit's perfectly but seems to wrinkle too much would probably go for a more matte and slight heavier fabric. Anyone else get such wrinkling in their lustrous fine white?

^^^^I saw an example but I cannot say about the wrinkles. Twas not my shirt. Fabric seemed quite heavy to me. Do you plan on wearing it with a suit?
What color poplin did you order? Weight of the material? Interested in plain colors but for business suiting, ie, not too heavy. I think the Lustrous White shirt I referred to above was meant to be for this purpose but for me misses the mark a bit.

Also, anyone use the Handmade option for shirts?$100 additional, I believe.
