After holding off all day hopping someone would snatch those nutmeg Hove’s in 9.5/10, I have caved and pulled the trigger. I just wanted to make sure they went to a good home.
I got the size 9 instead...
Now I am thinking how should I wear this shoes... what colour pant will match fantastically with this monk strap any idea?

not the shoe but the same color, this is a very nice combo with nutmeg.

Awesome looking... but gonna wear mine with invisible socks... how about the Harrogate? Anyone got some photos how you would wear it?
I found a great solution to the no sock problem, cause those no show socks always slip. Use odor eaters or any cheap substitute. They keep your feet dry and protect the footbed, allowing you to go sockless.

I changed the buttons on this to horn. Can't recall if I included the original gold buttons. If not, I can take a look around in case someone wants them.

This is a strong silhouette (Saint Andrews, I think) that will fit a 40 or a smaller 42 and the cashmere is beautiful. Original retail was probably in the 2000 range. Blah, blah, blah ... who gives a ****? Let me tell you about this jacket.

I had just returned to NYC after a year lost in the wilderness and was staying at the Essex House on Central Park South. The leftette was out for the night and I was feeling a little antsy, so I threw on the jacket with a crisp white shirt, mid-grey slacks and a black boot, and decided to walk over to the King Cole bar at the St Regis.

I'll be honest, I felt like a prince of the city. Crisp, smart clothes will do that to you.

As I took a seat at the bar, I heard a quiet "damn" and noticed a three younger women in the corner. I ordered an Old Fashioned "hold the cherry". The bartender made it perfectly and as he placed it in front of me, he said, "it's been taken care off." My new friends in the corner waved me over.

Midwest girls, up for an NYC weekend. We chatted and laughed, and I gave them a few of my favourite uptown bars and downtown dives, as well as a couple of non-touristy touristy things to check out. After the drink, I thought I'd let them get on with their night so stood to excuse myself. One of them put a hand on my sleeve and said, "that jacket ... you really wear it."

I walked back to the hotel, happy to be home.

This isn't just a beautifully cut jacket you're buying. It's a promise for a great and unexpected night out. Wear it well and it will get you noticed in all the right ways. What you do with that is up to you. I was just happy for the memory.

Now, go bid the goddamn thing up! $247 ... what's wrong with you people?

Any particularly weird or fun or outrageous pieces you've ever sold that you'd like to reminisce about? I'd gladly have an eyebrow-raising moment right now because Corona time is boring time.

well theres that one time someone sent me a Tom Ford jacket on consignment because the guy he bought it from said it was too small on him. I sold it, someone won it, then a few weeks later that same person asked if I wanted the same jacket back on consignment. I asked if he was serious or his message was a few weeks stuck, and he said no, the guy who won it was the guy who sold it to him originally. He didnt realize that it was the same jacket. So he sold it back to my consignor who sent it in again. I sold it once more and the same damn guy bought it. Never made its way back around a third time.

That guy really wanted a Tom Ford jacket.
