I hate to say it but I’m done sending CM stuff out for consignment. I’m just going to give it away to younger dudes at work who will ideally get some use out of it. $56 for a worn-twice Oxxford sport coat? Not like I was really expecting serious money but this is pretty pitiful. More of an ego thing I guess.

I have one last load pending then game over.

EDIT: @SpooPoker I know you and your crew are great, just that the market for the stuff I love doesn't seem to be there much anymore. There’s also a lot going on in the world as well of course.

I have over the last couple of years continuously been bewildered by what goes on at these auctions. Prices are unpredictable. I think the number of buyers for each item, and what they are willing to pay, are rather random. It seems to me there are less items for sale at eBay these days, and I have seen som amazing prices been achieved. All of us are able to secure «steals» here and elsewhere, and I for one do not expect great prices when I consign goods here. I actually think of it as a kind of community service. If I should think of each item’s price as something I should maximise, I would stop. The bottom line is: I am gradually building a marvellous wardobe for a very reasonable price.

I got eaten alive last night - bid on a few used Eidos and G. Inglese shirts for what I thought were good prices - lost 6/6!

Some brands just carry more weight with the SF crowd.

It's unpredictable. I had a Polo tie sell higher than an RLPL tie. Or to @smittycl 's comment, a Samuelsohn SC go for $50 (same as his Oxxford).

yup, demand isn't as strong as it used to be for sure, I mean think just have to let the reality sink in that CM stuff are not going to do well in general unless very specific item

At those low prices, I am more inclined to donate stuff as I had been doing before giving consignment a try.
