I just picked up 6, I'll have to have them all shortened but what a steal! Someone stole my nubuck belt I wanted before I could even get my info in :(

Stitch, i am sure it will throw off the balance somewhere. Anyone in NY know of a good place to make it happen? I see 4 or 5 belts that I want.

Gyasih, for what its worth, look on yelp for a good cobbler, most cobblers perform this service, if you find a place that is decently reviewed give them a call and feel them out, that's what I did here in the bay area and worked out marvelously.

How would a belt end up out of balance by being shortened? Isn't the hole spacing the same on all sizes?
I've sized down some belts by a really large amount (size 44 to 36, actually) and it doesn't even look different, or so I think.

It'll only last till next week auctions, I go through the same thing every week. I get more angry at myself most times for missing the closing of a Kiton jacket for under a $100

I don't know. I ususally buy belts my size, so my comment wasn't based on 1st hand knowledge. I guess the material would be taken from the back side of the belt. Thanks.
