I don't own any Carminas...
How do they size up against G&G's TG73... ? I wear a UK11.5E in G&G TG73.
PCK - Personally, I am the same size in GG and Carmina, all lasts same size.
Carmina lasts size all over the place. In general size down 1 from U.S. D width except for Simpson (size down 0.5).
I'll agree, the Simpson is mad narrow.
I only buy shoes that are made in UK sizes...so knowing my US size doesn't help much hahha...because I don't know it...its prob a 12D.
Will need to "accidentaly" block a shot, send it into the trees and use the 5 minutes before going back to the tee. 5 minutes is all I'm going to have.
I hope there are some 9UK. Since I go some custom ot orthpedich (don't know how that is written or said) I need like 0.5 extra to get some room.
Im a UK11 in all my GGs and UK11 in all my Carmina, though I should probably have gotten a UK 11.5 for the Simpson.
In the same boat. Don't most of us buy UK sizing in EG, JL, G&G etc? The whole size down one full size Is Phuking confusing. Just sayin
That's what I did. Half size up for Simpson (10.5UK)...every other last is my normal size (10UK)
This is the overgeneralized sizing advice I've heard/given over the years for the most typical foot.
X D US = X-1 E UK for CJ, JL, Carmina (except Simpson)
X D US = X-0.5 E UK for EG, GG, Carmina Simpson
X D US = X-1 F UK for Alfred Sargent, Loake
X D US = X+33 F for Vass F last (note increments between halfsizes for euro and US/UK are different)
No experience with anything else.
Not true. Standard width, but low instep. If you have a high instep, Simpson won't work.
I'm slightly wider than a 'D' width, and the Simpson is fine.
So if I am a US 10 I should go for Carmina 9UK. Nice, thanks!
welp, im no expert, but literally everyone i have asked that sells then, including red devil above, says its a narrow last. whatever the technical term may be, they fit smaller to everyone i know that has bought them.
