I was visiting Despos for a shirt fitting when our conversation turned to workout clothes. He recommended I check out Lululemon, and I'm glad I took his advice!

If you haven't checked out Lululemon, you should. The men's selection (at least at the Chicago store near Barney's) isn't large, but they had a decent selection of men's shorts, shirts, pants, etc.

The clothes are constructed pretty well, and the fabrics they use are good for the type -- lightweight, strong, and dry easily.

Anyone else a fan?

Yep, big fan of their stuff. I did a case on them in B-school, basically started as a small op inspired by clothes built/designed especially for yoga. Their stuff is a litlte pricey but def very well designed, the CUTS are fantastic. Makes a girls ass look unbelievable, and even for the guys their stuff makes even pudgy me look like superman. I've paid full retail for their stuff and been nothing but happy.

On another note, more then just the clothes, what I really like is their whole store is more about a general sort of healthy holistic lifestyle. And it's not just some sales gimick, they started that way. Their staff are all well educated, healthy, etc. They even do free yoga classes in the store a few times a week.

on the downside? well, they've started to become a bit of fashion icon, like remember those two piece veluer track suits all the hot mama's wear to the supermarket and the big booty'd girls wear to class, their stuff is starting to become a bit like that.

anyway, in short, yep, I totally back these guys.

I use some of their shorts for the gym. I have had no complaints.

Good to know. I was under the impression that Lululemon was a girl's store only. The name doesn't exactly scream men's apparel, and I always see a constant stream of chicks entering and leaving the store next to the local gym.

I thought they only sold chick stuff. I would rather wear Nike and Under Armour before telling someone my workout clothes are from "Lulumon." Sorry.

This co and it's clothes are the latest disease to infect the upward-aspiring yuppies.
I would not be caught dead wearing this trendy garbage for sexually-frustrated housewives.

Strange things about this company (The Conspiracy Theorists are going to love this..) Strange Item 1 CEO's name is Chip Wilson. Who names their son Chip? A dog, sure, but your own son?...Chip? Strange Item 2 Company is run like a cult. 'We're like a family'..that sort of crap. I've had family members (blood relations) tell me it's disturbingly cult-like to work there. They left. Strange Item 3
lululemon-logo-150.gif
That Logo...What is it? What does it represent? A) Icon for Chip Wilson Reich (Note the colors are the same as a nazi flag-red,white,black) B) A Stylized Omega Symbol C) Upside-down devil horns D) A womans hair E) All of the above I know Barker Black uses a skull & crossed bones as their logo but at least they don't hide it. Lululemon's logo is to many people, unsettling to say the least. This post for entertainment purposes only.

I got a fantastic pair of "casual" pants from there. Grey plaid, with a blue windowpane. Absolutely amazing pants. Well made, and lightweight/comfortable. I am getting the bottoms re-hemmed, will post a picture then.

It would have been a much better idea if they had re-branded their men's clothes. They really do make great casual wear for men .. but a lot of guys can't get past the logo.
