Luigi Borrelli Shoe Quality

Can anyone tell me about the quality of Luigi Borrelli shoes? Maybe as compared to other shoe brands.

i have a pair of monkstraps that I got off B&S for 350 (not sure what the retail is, im in aus and none here). only had them for about 8 months but the leather has worn extremely well. have maintained shape well also

i think i read somewhere here that they have changed makers a few times. might want to see who is making for them then comparisons might be easier if borrelli shoes aren't so common

Borrelli doesn't make shoes themselves. The Borrelli shoes I have are made by Santoni (couple of years ago) and more recent by Sutor Mantellassi . Both are excellent quality.

SM stopped making shoes for Borrelli a long time ago. The most recent maker is Peluso. The Borrelli anything in the past few years have been junk, especially considering the price.

Got one pair of wholecuts and returned them.

The quality was average , the desing too rounded for my tastes.

I don't know, mines werent as I love Santoni.

Interesting, I think Borrelli clothes are great, and a pair of shoes made by S.M. or Santoni for 200 should be a good deal

People, I still need more info. Who makes Borrelli shoes??? I'm selling a whole lot,* but can't unload them because I can't answer anyone's questions about grant, quality, etc.

The pair I once owned were indeed Santoni. Luigi could have partnered with another maker just as reputable since then.
