Anybody have suggestions? The only reason RL custom is out is because the placket is too short.

If you go Lacoste, go Retro. Retro size 5 corresponds to Medium in Custom Polo. Maybe a TINY BIT roomier.

I've done a bit of experimenting with yoox, and I found a brand.. Souvenirs & Gallery that fit better than Lacoste. The rear placket is extended 1.5 inches from the front just like Lacoste Retro fit, and the overall length is probably an inch or so longer than La Coste. The width is just about dead on with Lacoste, size for size.

The quality seems very good, perhaps even better than Lacoste, and the overall design is quite similar to the typical brands of pique polos.

Oh by the way, Versace Jeans Couture makes a really great fitting polo if you are slim. Hugs the waist and flatters the chest. Not sure how much they go for regularly but you can find deals at Century 21. Got a nice blue one for $30.
