Low slim raw denim

I am looking to upgrade my denim to raw status but as I will have to order online I was hoping for some recommendations. I am very slim (6'1" 140lbs) so I need a low rise slim-fit, preferably in a bootcut. I have some ES Hutches and AG Heroes that fit me very nicely, especially because I have no ass to speak of. Being a poor college student I want to keep my price at 150 or less which leaves me thinking Johnbull SC005 or Nudie Ola. The pragmatist (relative) in me says I could just pick up some Rigid Raw Skinners for less than half the price, and the romantic in me says to go for gold and get the Pure Blue XX-005. Also, my normal size is a 31x32, so any size suggestions would also be appreciated.

Recommendations? Comments? Flames?

Johnbull. Better denim than the Nudies, not as pricey as the PBJs.

Well, I say bite the bullet and spring for the PBJ's. You know you won't be happy until you do. If you're going to spend the money, spend it and get what you want.

Are the PBJ significantly nicer than the Johnbulls? I realize that personal preference has quite a bit to do with Japanese jeans but what specifically might be noticeable? Slubbier? Better fade characteristics? Nicer feel?

The other thing I noticed is that on BiG the Johnbulls seem to measure more as a bootcut and the PBJ's are almost straight leg. Is this the case or is the cut just very subtle?

The noob appreciates your help.

I have the PBJs and they're fantastic. I never tried the Johnbull's, but i felt the denim at BiG. The two are vastly different. If you want something unusual, textured, and pretty sturdy -- i say go for the PBJs. (I also have a pair of new one-wash in size 29 I picked up from Japan that I am getting rid of).

If you're 6'1", I'd be careful w/PBJ. Mine were raw when I got them, and the length shrunk quite a bit. They're perfect for me now, but I'm 5'9".

Aww, very true. I forgot about this point. I'm 6' and was concerned about the length as well. I tugged on mine after soaking to try and get another half inch out of them. They are the perfect length now but MAY be too short for you.
