Is it a problem with the leather itself or the structure?
They will do the job but it will cost you an arm and a leg.....

I tried it yesterday at the South Coast Plaza LV store in Bloomingdales. I have a LV wallet that I brought about 8 years ago. I left the wallet in the original box and when I finally opened the box last week, I found the leather in the wallet has deteriorated. I took the wallet to the store and was told that I have to pay $100 for LV to fix it. Needless to say, I wasn't very happy with that response.

Unlike their latest products Vuittons customer service still is very good. We had all sorts of bits and pieces replaced on items and they were always very helpful and efficient - though the service might be costly.

I had excellent experience with their service department. I have a couple of key ring hoder things, and the zipper fell off. I took it upstairs and they replaced the zipper free of charge.

In Australia, at any rate, if you have the receipt or they know you, yes after service cleaning/monogramming, etc will be free. Should be same rest of the world I would've thought.
