Connemara, who sells those gun checks? Is that Holland & Sherry?

And Matt, is that vintage tweed or can one still find it in normal channels? How heavy is it?

    Nah, those are from Kiton.

I have a couple of bespoke overcoats by Leslie & Roberts, from the 70s. Bold, magnificent plaids.

One can be tailored for me, but I think I'll sell the other one.

This isn't terribly loud--I think I have louder. Plaid and windowpane, in my mind, are perfect for fall. Worn with grey flannel and suede, maybe a sweater.

My new Pal Zileri Sartoriale coat is rather loud. [IMG]

I dig the top three patterns, and the whole look you've got going on in the third pic.

    Nice jacket Doc!

Was wondering what shirt you wear with it.

Thanks! It's one of my favorites. I usually wear tattersalls with it, for the full-on country look.

This thread is rapidly pushing me off the fence on this jacket, I think by 5PM tonight it will be on its way to me.

I haven't dared to go truly bold yet. I'm a short guy (5'6") and so feel that too bold a plaid would be wrong for me. The "boldest" plaids that I have and wear myself are actually all subdued:

But not my size, but currently in my possession:

There was a even slightly bolder olive plaid DB RLPL overcoat in my size last time I checked at the store - I was desperately tempted. [IMG]
