Another excellent reason no to bid on ebay.

The more people who don't bid on eBay the better. More for me -- I would have nothing worth wearing otherwise. In these parts, the thrifts carry things that say John Deere.

    Regards,

    Sorry about that kronik.

Wear it in good health. [IMG] If it doesn't fit, you already have a buyer. :p

^ Awesome fencing smiley. There is one thing worse than being 38R, 15.5 and 9.5 on eBay: Being 38R (or 40, depending), 15.5, and 13. Argh. Actually, I find 'meeting' SFers on eBay something like running across friends while 'out and about.' Kind of nice. Not, however, nice enough for me to post about items I am going to bid on! Another 38R, 15.5 here [IMG]. At least my size 11 feet are my saving grace.

i remember a couple of months ago i was watching a Tramezza captoe monkstrap that was being opened at 249 dollars, which is 100 dollars less than they usually open for, and i was contemplating buying it, but then edmorel bid on it.
i could have bid over him, but i just figured hey , i respect that he bid, and i was debating, i rather have him win it at the cheapest price.

if it was someone else i dont know, i would have gotten angry.

Thank you sir and I just returned the favor, good luck [IMG]

As for losing to other SF's, I don't mind and if I know an SFer is bidding, I don't bid unless his bid was way below where the item currently is.

I haven't run into any SFers on eBay, but would have no reservations about sniping an auction that an SFer was winning.

All's fair in love, war, and Edward Greens! [IMG]

Yeah but, like you, I don't feel the need to raise someone else's cost. There are enough shoes to go around. Now, if we were bidding on horses or women......[IMG]
