God damnit I hate the word tone. You don't "tone" something, you lose weight, gain weight, lose muscle or gain muscle. When you lose fat you see what is under that fat, when you gain muscle you have muscle under the fat. If you lose fat and gain muscle you look more muscular. "Tone" is whatever that balance results in you looking like. If you're skinny and you have poor muscle development you'll look like a little girl, if you're fat and you have poor muscle development you'll look fat, if you're fat and you have good muscle development you'll look fat but less fat than fat and no muscle, if you're "skinny" (low body fat) and you have good muscle development you'll look muscular. Tone is just the muscle tone, it's the amount of muscle you see. You only see muscle if (a) you aren't fat, (b) you have some appreciable muscle mass.

If you want to lose love handles you need to lower your body fat (and probably lose weight in general). There are plenty of ways to go about that. If you want visible abdominals you need to lose more body fat. There is only so much stimuli the abdominals and obliques can respond to, they're not going to get much bigger than they already are, and if you're looking chubby in that area bigger abdominals and obliques are only going to make you look fatter in the waist because the growth will be under the fat.

30 min of running 3 days a week is not going to get you anywhere other than it being a healthy addition to your lifestyle. Especially after only 6 weeks?
You have to integrate weight training or some sport and diet is a must.
Just running a few minutes a week is not going to make you lose anything,
Let alone tone down love handles.

What kind of diet and exercise regiment did I use?

I did not do anything specific it was always different every few days but the key was Consistency. Keep doing it. One day I might have lifted for 1.5 hours straight. One day I just did treadmill and stairmaster. One day I helped my brother in law move in.

The fact was, every single day since last october I committed to not be sedentary but be active. One day I only did pushups when I was at work all day. One day I played sports with my brother. One day I walked to the airport and back.
Every day was about being active for at least 2 hours a day.
Diet: I just ate less the first 3 months when I started. Just cut everyrthing in half. It was hell but I needed a jumpstart to losing weight a primer so to speak.
Did it the old fashioned way at first.

But after I reached a manageable weight, a manageable muscle tone, I looked into more specialization in my diet and training.
Now I focus on getting more lean meats like chicken and fish. I Hardly ever eat red meat unless I am dining out with family or friends. Get more broccoli cauliflower carrot mix. I cut out carb a lot like white colored refined things like saltn, sugar, flour, rice.
I am taking tons of multivitamin and omega 3 and garlic and such ever since I started work for herbalife.

I am now doing a 'program' of trying to up my ante in cardio/running to a faster pace/longer distance.

I want to achieve the lean sculpted look and I believe I am getting there.

I stay out of the sun for prolonged periods, I don't smoke,do drugs, drink. I've been told hundreds of times that I look like I am in my twenties and almost everyone who finds out I am 36 are completely surprised. I sound like I'm tootin my horn here but my intent is to pump you up and I'm excited to talk about this that is all
