Hey all, I'm looking for a good place in LA to get some shirts slimmed down.
Any tips?

I've had good luck with Pro Tailor. It's on 8th between Hobart and Harvard in Koreatown. Their english is barely enough, but they do good work, are exceedingly nice, and it's very inexpensive.

Gary's Tailors:
On Brighton Way between Canon Drive and Beverly, (BH)

I have good experiences with him and he is very reasonably priced.

My SA at Ralph Lauren recommend him

It's been a while since I moved out of LA, but I had an office in the California Mart 110 East 9th St. and there were several alteration tailors on LA St that did good clean work and were CHEAP!

Elias on 11th and Wilshire. Everybody has gone there including Johnny, Frank, Sammy, and everybody you can name. If for no other reason, just go and see the beautiful ladies line up to get their jeans and gowns made to fit perfectly.Expensive, but worth it.

Reviving this thread...I'm looking for a good (and inexpensive) tailor in LA who I can trust to shorten the sleeves on a bunch of shirts for me. Someone who you would trust to move the cuff and the placket up the sleeve and do a good job. Anyone have suggesetions?
