After searching some threads, it looks like Browns in Santa Monica and Sterling Cleaners in West LA. I was wondering if someone could help me with a little more information...

Is one or the other a better value, say for weekly shirt laundering?

And is there one of these (or any other) that you would trust for the rare dry cleaning of your one of a kind items, like a vicuna coat or a suit from your grandfather? In these latter cases, I think money is less of an issue than the most gentle, trustworthy job.

Thanks!

Rene's on Wilshire near Brentwood is excellent-- even a little better than Brown's.
