Loro Piana Super 150s / 250g -- too light?

Was measured yesterday for my first custom suit for my summer wedding. Ended up selecting a Loro Piana Super 150s / 250g, which felt fantastic. But now doing some more research, I see lots of people saying such a fabric might be too fine and light. This is primarily for my wedding but I would like it to be something I can wear in the future (and of course I don't want it wrinkling throughout the wedding).

Any advice? Should I try to swap out the fabric for something else?

It's a little light at around 8.5oz but could certainly be worse. Depending on where you live this suit probably won't be great for colder months and times, but I wouldn't go with a utilitarian 4 season cloth for a special day like your wedding if your only driver is wearability afterwards.

You'll look just as bad at your wedding being too warm or in a bland cloth because you wanted wear the suit in 'the future'.

Thanks, that helps. Even in the long term, I would wear this suit maybe 4-5 times a year max. The other options I would be switching to would be Super 120s / 280g

Make sure it is appropriate for the type of wedding you are having. Traditional, formal, informal etc. Don't focus on the Super #. Think how useful and appropriate the suit is for those 4 or 5 times you use it after the wedding. What may serve you in social settings and what you wear for business situations may be two different cloths.

If the cloth has much sheen it reflects light in an annoying way. You will see this in the pictures. A matte finish on the cloth that absorbs light rather than reflect the light will look best in the pictures. The cloth you picked needs special attention when it needs to be cleaned or pressed. It's not an easy cloth to tailor.
