Too short or ok? I ask because it is a R and at 6'4" I am usually a L. I don't know how it is supposed to look. Full fit so I can wear a jacket under it.

I think it is a bit short. I like my coats to reach a little further down the thigh and cover the shirt sleeves.

I think it looks just right. I was looking at the same one in their shop this afternoon. Didn't try on, waiting for Jan sales.

Nordstrom rack in Gaithersburg. They are made for Nordstrom. This was the last in this style. The other ones are actually nicer in 90% cash 10%goat hair but they are heavier and green.

How much did it run you?

Only Nordstrom Rack I've been to in the area is in Dulles.. haven't hit Potomac or Gaithersburg.

Where are all the good deals outside of Filene's? :p

I think the coat length is fine, and wearing it slightly larger to allow for a coat is ideal..

A long would suit you better, not so much for the coat length as for the sleeve length.

Texas_jack, is that jacket made by Loro Piana, or is it one of the Faconnable ones that uses the LP Storm System wool?

Hard to tell since the pics aren't very big, but it looks like more of a smock. Everything is a bit too short. You definitely don't want your sleeves showing in a coat.

Roger, as you probably know, LP's Storm System label is found on a myriad of brands. Here's Nordstrom's house brand. And, A Distinguished Gentleman is offering this coat for sale.

I am pretty sure that it is a Loro made jacket. It does not have the dreaded "fabric by" label. Instead it just says storm system by Loro Piana and a tag that says made in Italy. I'll post pictures of the tags tommorow and people more knowledgeable than me can discuss what it is or isn't.
