anybody ever seen/touched/owned a jacket from this fabric? How would you describe it - coarse, soft? the color is supposed to be a "natural" brown but its hard to tell from photos.

Would like to hear from anybody who is familiar with it - and would particularly like to know whether you'd prefer it over cashmere

thx

I got an LP 3/4 length coat made from it and it's great, but completely different than cashmere, not better or worse, just different.

It's got a coarse, tweedy appearance but is soft to the touch and is very nice. Mine is a browinsh shade. I highly recommend it!

thanks Andrew - just the info I was looking for. Unfortunately I'm not looking for tweedy - hell, I should have jumped on your cashmere.

Sure thing! There may be more cashmere coats to come, I've just got way too much stuff and I need to streamline.

It's only tweedy in appearance I'd say, but very smooth and silky to the touch. But I don't like the color, half way between brown and grey. I prefer the baby cashmere stuff from LP.
