i just bought a jacket from one of my usual haunts. Loro Piana cashmere in a looser (coarser?), thicker weave. curiously, they called the fabric "Cheviot cashmere". now i only have a basic knowledge of fabrics, but it seems like what they did is that they did a rendition of Cheviot fabric, but instead of the normal Cheviot wool, they used cashmere...?! it's 100% cashmere, not a wool blend. i don't know if i even had a question, i just found it pretty odd and felt compelled to share it. here's a couple of close pics:btw, the jacket is phenomenal. very much unlike "normal" cashmere jackets, but i find it awesome in its own way.
