does anyone have an opinion on this tie maker? I've seen quite a few on ebay and was wondering what the quality was like.

ditto. man, do they have the best looking ties ever. Stefano Ricci ties look like toys when being compared with the lorenzo's.
if they are good, i definitely will buy from them.

Anyone know thye background of this company? What is the quality like? They have some (some) interesting looking ties. I found a thread on askandy which had some positive reviews but i trust this site more.

I signed up for an account on this Web site just to reply to this one thread--because I bought one of these ties (it's lime green and really looks sharp) and thought their brand/their designer deserved some credit for his work.

I have purchased about a dozen ties (an Hermes with ostriches, a few Brioni, a Charvet, and a Kiton), and I'd say material thickness of a Lorenzo Cana is comparable to my Ktion tie -- and thicker and better quality than my Charvet and my Hermes. I shouldn't even be comparing it to the Hermes, though, since, to me, what makes an Hermes valuable isn't its quality, per se, but its unique and whimsical themes.

So you know this opinion is real, I am not paid by anyone to write this nor do I work in advertising at all. I'm just an accountant who developed a preference for nice-looking -- and well-known -- brands of ties, and I can say that Lorenzo Cana quality is great -- on par with top-of-the-line brands. I only own TWO LC ties I should caution you, but especially the brighter ones seem worth the money (especially if you can find a deal on eBay, etc.).

I hope this review helps someone. :D

Edit: One thing I should add/clarify: Kiton is a seven-fold tie -- while Lorenzo Cana does not appear to be, which means, by tie connoisseur definition, it HAS to be sub-standard to my Kiton -- at least from understanding of ties and the increased value of multi-fold ones -- but nonetheless, it's a good, heavy tie and good quality material. (I just didn't want previous message to suggest that "on par with Kiton" meant that LC was 7-fold, because it doesn't seem to be.)

I bought 3 lorenzo cana ties on ebay average price $65 each with shipping. I have never spent so much on a tie before without seeing/feeling the tie so I had hesitation. The ties came and this was definitely money well spent. The ties are thick and soft and very high quality. the colors are bright and clear. definitely worth the money.

one issue only: on one tie the actual tie was very slightly less bright than the photo on ebay.
