I just hope Federated keeps their mitts off of Neiman Marcus. Â They're already wrecking the middle market; I'd hate to see what they'd do to a upscale store like Neiman's. Â Price scanners and miles of Alfani and Haggar are what's killing the business [IMG]

Yeah, but the real question, is will the new Neiman Marcus take VISA and Mastercard?

If Neiman's were sold, why would they stop carrying Oxxford?

Sadly, the answer is no. He passed away in 2002.

New owners and new management always try and "change" things. 99% of the time they end up harming, not helping, the business. Take Brooks Brothers in the M&S owned days. Classic example of ineffective and harmful tinkering.

Oxxford has long been a staple at NM. If I was Oxxford's owner, a potential sale of my largest customer would scare the heck out of me. Uncertainty of the future management of your largest customer is not pleasant.

Hopefully all will work out. But one never knows.....................
