Hi All,

New member here. Recently got the bug to start upgrading the wardrobe. Took advantage of the BB sale this morning and bought some black PTB's. Next, I'm having a hell of a time deciding between the Alden calfskin Plain Toe Blucher on LeatherSoul and the standard Alden Cigar Cordovan and #8 Cordovan. I'd like to hear what the style Illuminati have to say between the three shown from both a looks perspective and value for money perspective:

#968 Pattern, Tan Vegano Calf, Single Flex Leather Sole:

I'd mostly be wearing these w/ biz casual and even jeans. Thanks in advance.

For casual and jeans, cigar shell or calf. I'd lean toward the shell. Can you get them in Ravello?

Of the three, I like the looks of the calf best. Ravello in shell would look good also..

Thanks for the comments and votes. The cigar cordovans are the ticket and will be ordered.

I like to save $$ on the things I need so I can spend more on the things I want. That said, spending over six bills on a pair of shoes still may cause a palpitation or two.

I have the PTB in cigar and love 'em. The LWB are wonderful, too. For some reason, the only thing I want in Whiskey are the Chukkas.

I think that #8 is more versatile, you can dress it up whereas with other colors, you are very limited to jeans and chinos.
