Hey guys,
So, just like the title says, I'm looking for a versatile white sneaker that I can wear casually with a white tee/hoodie/511's but also something that I can wear with a OCBD when I go out to the bars.
I like low profile sneakers. Nothing to chunky. Pretty minimalist. I would get a pair of white Vans Authentic's but I already have two pairs (black and gray) and would like to get something different.
Right now, my top contenders are Purcell's, Supra Cuttler Lows, or possibly something like these Zuriick's. If these Onitsuka Tiger's didn't have the gray lip on the front and the red tag on the tongue, they would be pretty much perfect in my opinion.
My problem right now is, I'm having a hard time finding pictures/look books/albums with people rocking white sneakers and a simple white tee/OCBD to decide which style I like best. One would think, pictures like these would be easier to come by but perhaps I'm looking in all the wrong places (if I am, please point me in the right direction). Most of the pictures I seem to find are with people wearing outfits that are much "busier" (lots of different layers/colors; boat clothes, preppy clothes...remember, I like casual) than I would ever wear. I'm just trying to get an idea of which style looks best to me.
While your here, which style do you like best? If you have something else that you think would work better, feel free to post 'em! I saw this article in Primer and while a lot of those are nice I would like something without a stripe. I like Pro-Keds but wish they didn't have the black and white stripe on them. Common Projects are too expensive. I don't mind Superga 2750's but the rubber sole looks so chunky. Anyone have a picture of them wearing a pair? Maybe it's not so bad when they're being worn.
Thanks guys!

Superga 2750 sole is not that chunky. I mean, it's pretty similar to Vans. I do find that Tretorn are more comfortable that Superga. Some people can't get over the "gull" design though. I prefer the Superga 1705 which is currently only sold internationally. Ebay stores sell them for about $90 shipped. There's also Erik Schedin and Svensson.Do you have a certain budget?

Under $100 would be great. Man, I really like those 1705's...that's a damn shame that they're only sold internationally. Are they worth the $90 (i.e. construction, quality)? They look like a pretty basic shoe, don't know if I can justify spending that much for them. I do really like those though.

Not too crazy about the Tretorns. Don't really like the swoosh on it or the way that the toe is shaped. Thanks for the recommendation, though!

Have any pictures of someone wearing the 2750's? Have any pictures of someone wearing any of these shoes, as a matter of fact? Or know where I might find some? Just trying to figure out which particular style I like the best.
