Looking for something good for 1-2 day trips that will be able to carry a suit or two. Also, looking for something that will be very durable. Any and all suggestions greatly appreciated.

Filson's suit carriers can accomodate three suits, have room for additional items, and are very durable. The "ultimate" would probably be the Swaine, Adeney, and Brigg Mayfair collection, though, but the Filson would be more practical and is very water resistant, too.

I am quite disappointed with Globe trotter quality though it does look great with all the stickers and all.

Second Briggs & Riley. Hands down the best luggage I've ever had. Abuse mine relentlessly and they hold up great. Of my 6+ pieces, only ever had 2 repairs (which I could probably have done without) in some 5 years, and each time the process was effortless.

^^ My experience with GT (pics here) a. All the hardware rusts very quickly b. The lid is at 90 degree when open and as such keeps on falling. c. One of the 2 wheels popped out on my 2nd trip. d. Locks are pretty crappy. My wife uses a Rimowa trolley for daily use to carry 2 laptops. She is most satisfied and has no issues such as the ones I face/d with GT. Mind you, I only use the GT suitcase 4 times a year while she uses the Rimowa 5 days a week.
