As I live in Los Angeles, we often have weeks where the temp stays above 100F

. I am looking for recommendations of summer suits (linen, cotton, light wool) that people like. Pictures are, of course, appreciated.

I have unfortunately come to like the way Isaia fits me (curse you StyleForum).
I am interested in trying a darker tan/olive color. I work in medicine, so anything other than a white coat, makes me look dressed up, compared to most of my colleagues.

Why not a jacket instead of a full suit? It would be less formal that way. Also, it's easier to find a jacket in linen or cotton. Jacket or suit, patch pockets and non-boxy are some traits to keep in mind. Bluefly will give you some ideas. This specific 'blazer' is not the color you had in mind and maybe is a bit boxy, but it ought to work well as a summer jacket for an LA doctor.

Seersucker is highly unusual in LA.

I wear Irish linen, poplin & the occasional tropical wool suits with unlined pants in the summer.

I wear summer-weight wool suits with half-lined jackets. I also wear linen or wool blazers and chinos a lot during the summer, especially on Fridays.

Thank you all for the responses. I shall post again (with pictures) after I have bought something. I am leaning towards some jackets, as I have only a few.
