I want to pick up a pair or two of summer pants, preferably meeting the following criteria:

-5 pocket (jeans) style
-Neither super skinny nor baggy, some of my favorite jeans are Earnest Sewn Fulton and Acne Mic, if that is a good reference point
-Non-denim
-Non-twill
-Preferably some (subtle) pattern, such as a stripe or check, even plaid
-Lighter weight and color
-Not 100% cotton; I'd like there to either be some linen for breathability or some stretch for walking/sitting (going to be traveling a bunch)

I had a pair from Theory a year or so ago and they were great. However, they've seen better days and Theory no longer makes something similar (they were also a bit expensive). Would really like to find another pair of something similar.

Bump. Any thoughts? This weekend will probably be my last chance to go shop before my trip...

Price point?

I picked up some linen/cotton pants by Brax that kind of fit your description except for pattern. Love 'em.

Oh yea, probably should have included that... Up to about $200. That could be either MSRP from a store that does not discount, or price after applying a discount coupon to a store that does discount.

Brax should be in your price range then, I would check them out. The linen content may be higher than what you are looking for. I think they are roughly 60% linen and 40% cotton. (or the other way around).

$175 for polyester pants??? Dude.

$200 for straight cotton chinos seems overpriced to me. Besides I thought you wanted a blend?

I think that both are actually a cotton/stretch blend, not poly. Barney's has gotten that wrong before, but I'd go to the actual store to check. I think almost every wool garment they do has a touch of lycra in it.
