Looking for stylish winter boots

The Norwegian winter is soon approaching, making it rather difficult to walk to work in my leather soled oxfords. I am therefore looking for a good pair of stylish winter boots to go with my black suit and coat.

Ideally, I want a pair of black lace up, cap toe oxford boots similar in shape to my AE Cliftons, with soles that can cope with snow and ice. I can afford to spend up to $1.2k/€800. Any suggestions for which boots to buy, and where to get them?

Maybe you should rotate your boots during winter. I recommend buying two pair, instead of just one pair. So that your boots can demoisterize. Put a good shoetree in them. Especially in winter.

I should go for the boots from Shipton & Heneage for they are not to expensive. There's even an enduring sale http://www.shiptonandheneage.co.uk/

Good luck!
