I'm relatively short at 5'7, and I've short legs so I'm looking for some high(er) rise jeans to break up my proportions a little better.

I would say there is nothing wrong on having short legs. If you think that it should look proportionate then don't wear low waist jeans, it will make your legs appear more short. Wear high rise jeans or normal rise jeans.

Second these Iron Hearts, tried a pair on and the rise is definitely no joke. Not Steve Erkel level, just substantially higher than any denim I’ve ever put on. Legs didn’t work for me or I would have kept them.
