looking for some help with shirts

I have been trying to find some sportshirts I can wear "for an evening on the town". I recently purchased a couple of pronto uomo shirts from mens warehouse during their cyber monday BOGO sale, but I am disappointed in the fit. Both shirts fit like sails around the waist. I went through what I could of the slim fit shirt thread but most of what i found was either too expensive or not to my taste. I prefer modern/trendy style shirts.

I guess my questions are:
Is it worth it to get the pronto shirts tailored to fit me or return them and get a different brand that fits better?

Then, if I am better off with a different brand, where can I find nice sportshirts for under $50 that are slim in the waste?
