Looking for recommendation for corduroy trousers

Where I work, I can't really wear tailoring, or at most a sports jacket which needs to be dressed down. So instead of wool trousers I tend to go for corduroy or materials which are semi-formal.

I saw this pair: https://www.toddsnyder.com/collecti...new-straight-washed-5-pocket-cordglazed-pecan
but they are sold out.

Can anyone recommend a brand? Particularly interested in brown, olive green, khaki colours. Based in Europe, open to anything

Have you looked at Spoke and SEH Kelly?

Folk may also do cords.

I'm a big fan of de bonne facture cords, although they will vary the color, wale width, and weight of the corduroy every season so it's a bit of a crap shoot.

When it comes to corduroy I’d pay more attention to the quality of the cloth. Corduroy in general does not age well, and even premium brands use inferior quality materials.

My recommendation is Brisbane Moss cloth which is not that hard to find. You can easily google it.

As mentioned above De bonne facture is great reccomendation, their cord have absolutely astonishing quality, the material is unknown for me but I’ve never seen anything like it, great investment. Someone said that DBF uses BM but I’m not sure about that.

I got some good quality and fit cord pants from Brooks Brothers a few years at a surprisingly low price on sale.

I understand perceived BB's quality decline in recent decades, but find them still solid and good value in some categories. Turned out that cords, for me, has been one of those.

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
