I tried searching, but couldn't find specific help, etc.

I'm looking for some nice brown lace up suit shoes. I'm 20 years old, and don't usually wear shoes like this (usually wear ferragamo, prada, etc slip in shoes). I went to the store today to get sized, and I fit in an 11 D or 11.5 D Allen Edmonds. Is this a very standard sizing?

I'm looking for shoes under $400. Not too conservative and brown. I can order online. Where should I look? Any help is appreciated.

If it helps, I take an 11D in allen edmonds and ordered some 10 regular width Loakes.

They fit fine.

As you and me like the same suits, you might like Canali shoes made by Santoni, or Belgium ones NDC made by hand, some great models.

That all depends how firm the OP's budget is. Not sure what their NY store sale looks like, but don't they usually start around $600? If the OP is willing to increase his price range by 1.5x then that's a great option, especially if he doesn't want something too conservative.

Have you bought from them before? Anything to watch out for? If not I'm suspicious I'm about to get a bit poorer

Thanks a lot.

For my age, is C&J a better solution than Allen Edmonds?

They don't seem to have any in the D range though.
