Hi I am a newbie to the forums, and was wondering if your large knowledge base could help me on a query I have regarding a couple of pairs of boots. The two pairs in question are the LL Beans second from left, and the Guccis on the far right of this picture: I am absolutely in love with both pairs, and wondered if any of you folk knew any more details on either of them, or had other opinions of them. Please give me your full and honest opinion on them, and any knowledge or suggestions you may have as to how to go about finding them, as all I know about them is that the LL Beans are 'duck boots' (?) and the ones on the far right are Gucci brand - that's all I know! Thankyou so much

The ones you call duck boots looks like sorrels (sp?) to me. Similar, but latter are cold weather/ snow boots. Both these and the Guccis are functional, but not attractive IMO. With what will you be wearing these boots.

I know for a fact they are LL Beans, (thankyou tho!) and am looking for more just opinions on that look, and am getting the idea that this forum in general despises that style!

How would the Guccis be functional? (just wondering

). Also, I understand and respect your opinion, and just wondered whether you had anywhere to suggest looking further for these boots. And, to be honest, I quite like the look like in the linked pic, where they are tucked in to tight-ish light-coloured pants, and I guess a slightly casual-ish dress shirt.

Because I reaaally reallly love the Guccis, but I have no leads! I only know the brand. I have no other pictures, no name, no anything, except I do believe they came from the Fall/Winter '08 catalog.

Are you in high school or something? You sure use a lot of emoticons.

Try asking in the Streetwear forum. Otherwise you will just be slammed here. And I am restraining myself.

I'd keep looking unless you need boots for inclement weather or horse riding.

If your horse riding or shoveling cow dung then they will be fine for you if not I would go with something else.
