Looking for fit similar to Levis 550

Guys,

I need extra room in the top block (probably due to my hips) or the inseam gets pulled too high making the jeans incredibly uncomfortable.

For a while I thought maybe I just needed to find a pair of jeans with more give in them, so I tried several different styles with lycra and polyurethane. No luck.

The best fitting jean for me in the top block is the Levis 550. I'd like to find a fit similar to the 550 with slightly less room in the legs (especially the thighs). I'd even be okay if a bit was taken out of the rise, as the 550 has more rise than I need. As far as price range, I'm willing to pay for a pair of jeans that I'll wear constantly.

I would take a pair of 550s to a tailor but that seems a bit ridiculous (for now at least, until other options are exhausted).

Thanks for any help that anyone can provide.
