Sorry about the weird title.
anyone know of any (accesible) musicians that play this kind of music.. sort of like a free classical or tango. Trios or Quartets at most.

Im bored; I feel like theres so much brilliant music out there that its impossible to keep up. I listen to Princeton Radio a lot (a university station that plays almost any genre), and ill think 'wow this is one of the most amazing peices of music ive heard', then check the artists website, and they barely any visits, let alone accesible cd's.
i dont understand how people listen to classic rock or pop stations, and then they upload the same songs onto their ipods. its torture to limit myself that way.

oh and here are some examples of what im looking for:

The first sample;

Not sure about accessible musicians. A university is always a good place, to start. I used to hire string quartets from my alma mater, to play at functions.
So far as cello is concerned, a favorite choice of mine: Mozart's Prussian Quartets. They are I believe, among the very few quartet arrangements by Mozart, with cello at front and center. Rich, resonant, beguiling music.

I'm not sure if you're looking for something live (like a quartet to hire) or just music to listen to.

I can't help with a live band.

Astor Piazzola is a great recommendation. Tango Zero Hour is one of his most famous and critically acclaimed albums.

You might also try Pablo Ziegler (tango) and the one Yo Yo Ma album of tango called Soul of the Tango. It's all Piazzola compositions. Plus that one'll get you cello too.

Something else you might try is Pink Martini. They are a great band from Portland, Or. They play...well, just go to their website and look. I love them. In fact, we're seeing them live in a couple weeks.
