I have spent about 4 months trying to find boots that are exactly what I want. I have just about given up looking at this point because I just can't find what I want, maybe someone here may have some suggestions. I apologize in advance for my criteria, I know it is very specific and probably very difficult to find something like this.

I am looking for black boots, either leather or synthetic leather that I can wear with jeans or casual pants. Nothing too casual, nothing too formal, something in between. I want the lining and the insole/footbed to be smooth. I know this is odd, but I don't like wearing socks and I like smooth materials on the inside of my footwear. So, I am looking for boots with either a smooth leather or a synthetic lining and a smooth insole/footbed. I also want a zipper to make it easy to get on and off. I do not like decorative stitching or a lot of buckles, unless it can all be hidden by my pant leg. I am looking for something taller than ankle height too, mid-calf or higher would be good. Probably the most difficult to find is a snug fit on the shaft, I don't care for the loose fitting shafts. All of that for $200 or less. I am not opposed to used boots off ebay as long as they are in good shape. I am also not opposed to women's boots that can pass as men's boots. I normally wear size 12 in men's so women's sizes are hard to find that would fit me anyway.

So I know that is a difficult list. I am very fussy. So in summary, here is what I am looking for:
    Black boots, leather or synthetic
    Between casual and formal
    Smooth lining and insole/footbed
    Zipper
    No stitching or buckles visible
    Mid-calf or higher shaft
    Snug fitting shaft
    $200 or less
Used and women's boots are acceptable

Well, I can see I am not going to find help here. Too bad, this seemed like a nice forum, but the only response I get was mocking me. Maybe I can find a better forum elsewhere.

That kind of attitude won't help you either.

Quite a few people actually do recieve help here.I actually took a a look at your thread earlier, and I would have recomended something but your requirements were so specific and did not match anything I had experience with.

Although mocking someone may not be the best behavior, expecting your owed something for free, or not having to develop a bit of thick skin is something you have to take responsibility for.

I was just joking man. Your requirements are kind of complicated and steep imo, especially with that $200 price limit.

The height and zipper reqirement are going to be the hardest. Mid calf high boots in black with a smooth lining are easy. Ankle high boots in black with a zipper and lining are easy. However, theonly tall boots with a zipper I can think of are womens' boots. Then there is the price issue. You can find some bad ass tall polo style boots, but not for $200. Check out Dehner boots. Way north of what youwant to spend, but they might give you an idea of what to look for.

No, it is just I came here and thought I found a forum of mature adults, but I was wrong. I expected people to tell me that what I was looking for would be difficult to find, but I didn't expect childish responses. I guess this is the Internet and I shouldn't have expected more from the people here than anywhere else, but it wasn't much of a welcome to this forum.

I take it that you didn't read the part where I said I have been looking for boots for 4 months? I have been unable to find anything on my own, so I came here to see if there was anyone with more knowledge who was willing to help me. If you are not willing to help me, that is fine, but you could do so without the sarcasm.

New poster gets no response for special flower thread, spazzes out, insults styleocracy.
    Rinse, repeat.

What you call a "special flower thread", I call a detailed explanation of what I am looking for so that anyone who is willing to help doesn't waste their time making suggestions that are not what I am looking for. How would you feel if you came to a new forum, a forum where you thought that people were a little more mature than elsewhere on the Internet and you were welcomed with mocking and insults?

Thank you for the suggestion, I took a look at Dehner boots and there are some there that are what I want, but you are right, the price is higher than I wanted to pay. I may be able to find a used pair on ebay or something.
