Last year Uniqlo did an OK linen-cotton jacket that was styled conservatively, can't recall though if it had matching trousers or if it will be available again this year.

Thanks, but those are lined with polyester or something, and are slim fit (aggressively slim)

The regular fit cotton-linen jackets they had last year had an easier shape and creased up nicely, but were superbly breathable because of the lack of lining

Haspel are boxy though, I have an OK Haspel seersucker but I had to pay to get the waist taken in. Shoulders are also quite boxy.

What I want is almost like a shirt jacket in feel, that weighs nothing. I have the Uniqlo unlined linen-cotton in Small, but now I need Medium. And I'd like matching trousers.

It's frustrating not to be able to source something so simple.

+1 on Haspel. Bought mine in natural light tan from overstock.com for around $150 shipped. Just a bit of tailoring and fits great -- not boxy at all. I'm 6', 160lbs and typically wear a 39/40R. Gets lots of complements as a spring/summer casual suit.

Is it unlined and are the shoulders unpadded?

Mine is unlined with lightly padded shoulders.

But it seems that the Haspel linen suits are all 3 button in contrast to their 2 button seersucker

The Uniqlo jackets are only partially lined. But it's a moot point since I couldn't find matching pants when I bought mine.
