Looking for a sportcoat (34s!)

Hi. I'm looking for a 34s with natural or "soft shoulders" in charcoal color. Really going for the contemporary look. If I wanted structured shoulders, I would just buy a suit. Also, the forum either doesn't allow for searches for three-letter entries or no one on this forum wears a 34s. I'm about 5'6" and 140lbs. Yup. I'm a smaller-than-average guy. A 36s is also plausible for me to wear. I used to own a 36s sportcoat until I realized I didn't like the structured shoulders of it.

Welcome Junebug,

I have an olive corduroy sportcoat in 34S, if you're interested. I'd be willing to sell it pretty cheap.

You might give Jimmy Au's a call. They carry 34S and 34XS.

www.fourinhand.com carries 34 suits, but I don't know if they have sportcoats.

Welcome MrJunebug. I am also 5'6" and 140 but wear a 36S. Basically impossible to find in ready-to-wear, so I'm afraid it's pretty much a lost cause. Just bite the bullet and get something custom-made. It will fit better and look better. I've wasted too much money getting 38S tailored to fit and ending up with a crappy final result to see other people go down that route too. I would advocate getting a made-to-measure sport jacket or bespoke and you can specify whatever styling you want.

Thanks for the Jimmy Au's info. Their website doesn't have a ton of content but I'd definitely love to check out their inventory. I may even drive down there sometime.

If I were to go to a tailor and get a made-to-measure sport jacket, should I just drive around town looking for tailors?
