I cant stand when I am wearing a shirt with a suit and the collar is small and thin that it ends up under my jacket lapel.

Im looking for shirts with a taller collar band (1.75"+) and preferably a cutaway design. I wouldnt mind a double button collar too, altho thats not a must.

Where can I get shirts like this in Manhattan or, online?

Thanks!

Try Charles Tyrwhitt, their collars are pretty sturdy and not as small as other makers

I actually went today-wasnt impressed with the selection. Good sturdy collars, but not much to choose from. I will have a look at their site as well...

I am also a Charles Tyrwhitt fan. It's a good value for the price. And as mentioned above, you get a sturdy collar (brass stiffners included).

1.75 " collar band is very high
you need a long neck for this.
this is the height used by many makers a few years ago with two button collars.

I disagree.
Most shirts come in around 1.5; 1/4 of an inch is not much difference relative to ones neck, but it it does make a difference as far as the collar staying/standing up.
