So, I've been wearing this 25ish year old Eastern Mountain Sports lightweight goretex parka the past few days and have come to love the fit. I usually wear a 38s and this jacket's in a size small; it fits like a glove (40" chest, 23" sleeves, about 26ish inches from bottom of the collar to the hem - so it hits just a bit below the waist. Only problem is that it's my girl's father's old jacket and she loves it more than I do. I'm trying to find something similar, albeit a bit thicker so I can wear it in the winter. Looking for a solid color, short on the logos and technical fabrics. The closest I've found is a Japan-only Sierra Designs 60/40 short parka (see below); it fits the model just as the EMS jacket fits me. I'd prefer to find something stateside that I can try on and see in person (or at least return hassle-free). I'm sure I can scour some thrift stores and find something, but short of that, any suggestions?

Oh yea, I'm considering grabbing a well-worn Barbour Bedale and taking the hem up a bit, getting to theoretically fit like this -

hmmm
