Looking for a sack Blazer - Where should I get it?

I have worn my current blazer to death (it sees use multiple times each week). I was looking at getting a sack blazer, and I was trying to decide where to get it; right now the obvious choices are Brooks and J. Press. Do y'all have a preference of one of those over the other? Which is nicer quality? Which will better fit a big fat guy? Is there somewhere else I should be looking that I haven't thought of? P.S. I live in New Orleans, so my preference does tend toward lighter material.

1. Norman Hilton is not a good idea for a 52R because of the skimpy lapels.

2. Since Southwick/Brooks Brothers makes a lot of the O'Connell's stuff (as well as for other shops like Andover and Cable Car), all three are similar choices. The Southwick that O'Connell's carries is styled very old school, with flapped patch hip out pockets. The lapel width on this is much kinder to a 52R than is the one on the Hilton. So, pretty good.

Those a basically the only sacks being made RTW today, AFAIK.

So which is the best quality? Or, is the quality all so similar, that I should just go to Brooks as they are cheapest, and have a nice large store in town?

Who makes the sack suits and sport coats for J. Press? I have no experience with the recent stock, and I've heard stories that it's declined a bit in quality (what hasn't these days?). But the old stuff is the real deal, and not too hard to find in excellent condition.

I believe Southwick makes the Pressidential line of suits and Jackets (top line) and that Cohen makes the other lines.

Brooks' blazers are half canvased.

Would a fully canvassed jacket be warmer/less breathable than a half canvased one?

No.
