Looking for a russian company

When i can't find something on google i come here and see if you guys know and so far you haven't failed me. I'm looking for a name of a company that is located in St. Petersburg or Moscow that encourages US companies to invest in russian companies. Can't remember the name and once i hear it i think i will know. If anyone knows any companies please list them. Thanks.

Not knowing exactly what you want other than a company name, I suggest a possible alternative. Many of the larger international law firms have offices in both Moscow and Saint Petersburg. A call to the nearest U.S. metropolitan office of such a firm might yield the name and e-mail address of their stationed-in-Russia partners or associates. That individual would be an invaluable resource for you in many ways if you are considering doing business in or investing any Russian or FSU situation. There should no initial charge to answer your simple questions.

Good luck and exercise extreme caution. Russia and the FSU are very much what our wild west once was for entrepreneurs and investors.

Thanks but not looking to invest. Its a company that a client of mine is a part of but i no longer see him as he has moved. A friend of mine is looking for the name.

a couple of options based only on being an expat for far too long.... look for anything calling itself 'Trade Development Board' - they will be more than willing to find ways to bring in your money, and will happily point you in the right direction, as they will almost certainly have a running tally of how much foriegn investment they have introduced or brokered, and their own state funding depends on it. Secondly, AmCham in Russia. Drop them a line, they will certainly be able to help.

sorry, dude, you are probrably looking at a list of 1000 companies or so. on top of that, many of them will probrably change their name every two years or so.
