This is my first post, so forgive me if I don't follow protocol. I'm not much of a fashion guru but am interested.

I am in the market for a raincoat and found this Sanyo balmacaan in black on sale (about $200) at Lord & Taylor. I only have a couple of suits (charcoal pinstripe and gray) and of course a navy blazer. I would like to be able to wear the raincoat over my suit and more casually. Any thoughts?

that's a nice selection indeed, especially as something to go over your suit. with that color you would be restricted to what color suit would match it, so i'm assuming your probably referring to a black suit. what do you mean about wearing a raincoat more casually?

If it's a medium or dark neutral color, then color is not a worry. The style of the jacket pictured should be okay, too. However, it's polyester. With all the sales, you ought to be able to find something with a mostly natural exterior.
