Looking for a pair of dress socks

I just bought a pair of light grey trousers and I began looking for socks to match them, but realized that Pantherella does not make such a sock. Does anybody know of a good maker of over the calf wool socks that makes a light grey sock? Thanks, HS.

Doesn't Pantherella make on in that color? Seems I recall seeing one...in any event try Cole Haan Imperial socks as well.

Or you could go for a contrasting colorful sock for a little flair.

Quite certain that Pantherella have made a light-mid gray sock, as I own some. They're not a really pale gray though.

STP sells dark grey OTC Pantherellas.

Dore Dore does, in both cotton and wool, in dark gray, medium gray and light gray. There might still be some available on EBay. If so, look under buy it now only auctions. I've bought perhaps 2 dozen pairs from the same Ebay seller.

I've had great luck at Nordstrom for over-the-calf socks, especially the wool. In fact, I think I have a pair in grey.

what made me give them up were winters in Manhattan in over-heated offices, with static so snappy your hair stood on end. Nothing like wool socks rubbing against a wool trouser to have serious static cling.

You have nothing to worry about in Pasadena, though!
