Anyone familiar with the ebay seller Italy 5000? I'm wondering about this suit... http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=130290148266

I don't know a whole lot about linen...is it supposed to be more of a "disposable" fabric like seersucker? The ebay suit is obviously not gonna be the best quality, but maybe that's not as important as it would be with a wool suit? From what I could find from a little searching, Haspel linen has problems with being stiff from the fusing, which leads me to think that maybe I should stay away from this one, but I don't really have a whole lot to spend on it and can't find anything else around this price...anyone have any other suggestions?

The presentation is awful. In any case, I don't know if disposable is the right word, but linen is seasonal. Depending on where you live, you won't be wearing it all that much, so logic dictates that you don't spend as much on a linen suit. That said, if you're setting your sights low, I would go look for Haspel at Marshalls or TJ Maxx- I've seen tons there, you can try them on in person, there's a return policy, and they are likely cheaper than on ebay. A good time to buy linen suits is at the end of the season, when they get marked down. As for fusing and linen, I wouldn't worry about it- in fact, since it's a more delicate fabric than wool, many high end makers fuse their linen sportcoats in order to give it some shape. That said, it's much higher quality fusing.

Thanks, there's a TJ Maxx not too far from here, I'll give them a call. Anyone have any other recommendations?
