Is there any such thing that won't cost me an arm and a leg? I'm a fairly poor college student, and am looking for something like this. A day to day coat that is kind of dressy, my usual winter wardrobe consists of a lot of button downs, sweaters and dark jeans/pants, with a pair of khakis here and there. This jacket is ******* amazing but I'd assume it costs a ton so I'm looking for something along these lines...

The catch is I'd rather not spend much more than $150

I have one by Cucinelli but it was unfortunately above your $150 budget

I really don't think you'll find one for that price. You could go thrifting and you may get lucky.

So that's how you write Jake Gyllenhaal's name in Cyrillic. Good to know.

H&M has a pretty cool grey herringbone peacoat right now, it's what I've been wearing recently. Its kind of thin, construction isn't great, and its got zippers on all the pockets (which I'm not too fond of), but for the price it's pretty cool as a beater coat. Should be right in your budget.

GAP has peas under 150 as well as some other top coats. GAP doesn't like doing inside pockets, though, if you can live with that.

Not sure where to get one, but what a fabulous choice. That's a beautiful coat. Any idea who makes the one in the OP?

eBay. Valet Mag did a feature on this today, actually.

I bought a herringbone crombie from seller Savvy Row, who also maintains a separate web shop with similar goods. Prices are in pounds, and if you're starting with the US dollar, you're in a much better position than I was last August. After a run to the tailor, the whole job set me back about $150 (it cost more for the high-end tailor than the coat) -- you'll do better with the exchange rate now if you choose the same route.

I was eyeing up a Spiewak marbled coat that was similar in brown about a month ago before I settled on an Inapt peacoat. I loved it when I tried it on, but went for the other since I was looking for one in charcoal or black, but here's a link: http://www.tobi.com/product/10823-sp...color_id=12860.

Tobi was having a promotion on it a little while ago that I believe has expired now, but using the Styleforum discount it would help get closer to your budget if you happen to like it. Army Navy stores may carry it as well if you have one close to you. Zappos also carries it. Good luck.

Not bad-looking for Gap. Does it come with inside pockets? I know they tend to skimp on details like that.

That is a pretty sweet peacoat in OP.
