I love navy as a colour for my suits but I'm a bit tired of the darker ink/midnight blues...

Is anyone has a picture of fabrics offering a different shade of mid to darkish blue with a hint of purple or others interesting tones in them?

The poster on here called J Cogburn had a similar quest for 'rare' blue, a French navy blue as I recall. Do a search for using his username.

I agree with your opinion that that cloth may be a mohair mix. I have seen that colour in mohair before in a summer weight. The mohair lends it a bit of pizazz.

Air force blue perhaps? Don't let your judgment be colored by the dick wearing it.

Three shades of blue in this one, along with a pinstriped brown number worn with a paisley shirt. And one guy wearing gray. http://www.nasaimages.org/download.p...002-000104.jpg

The French navy blue is a really nice shade. I'd love a sport coat in something a tad darker than the shade shown below --

Have a look at that link to Andrew Rogers flickr page I posted earlier. You'll find a colour similar to that in the Frontier bunch. It's a lightweight panama weave too, so its suitable for the warmer months.

I have a casually styled suit from Chan in Harrison's Frontier #65064 that I'm very partial to. It started out as a blazer with smoked MOP buttons, and I subsequently ordered the trousers to convert it into a "blazer suit."
